Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in the number of abstinents during cessation of smoking, verified by the carbon monoxide method in the exhaled air below 10 ppm, from the observation of a variation in the number of abstinents in the measurements of at least 30% in the mean pre-difference and post-intervention with aerobic and resistance training associated with basic cognitive-behavioral therapy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement of anxiety and depression levels assessed through the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) questionnaire ;Decreased symptoms related to withdrawal syndrome assessed using the Wisconsin Smoking Withdrawal Scale - WSWS;Improvement in quality of life assessed through the Medical Outcomes Study 36 Questionnaire - Short Item - Form Health Survey (SF-36);Improvement of the level of physical activity assessed through the Baecke questionnaire and accelerometer.
