Interventions

In this cross-sectional study, the interobserver reproducibility of the ultrasound assessment will be analyzed to generate an assessment score using small, medium and large joints using a database of
dorsal and palmar of the 2nd MCF, coronoid fossa, posterior recess of the glenohumeral joint, hip, knee, talocrural and talonavicular joints
and dorsal and lateral recesses of the 5th MTF. The association analysis between ultrasound and non-ultrasound measures will then be carried out to identify which joint recesses have the most frequent

Eligibility

Age
30 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Rheumatoid arthritis for more than 1 year, according to the ACR criteria (Arnett, Edworthy et al. 1988); Age between 30 and 60 years, stratified in the following age groups: 30 to 39 years: 33.3%, 40 to 49 years: 33.3% and 50 to 60 years: 33.3%; Female and male sex, in the proportion of three women for each man; Have accepted to participate in the previous study and signed the free and informed consent form for the study from which we used the data.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus; Diagnosis of hypothyroidism; Diagnosis of hemophilia; Suspected pregnancy, current pregnancy or until the 6th month of postpartum; Women in active lactation; History of trauma in the studied joints; History of septic arthritis in the joints studied. History of surgery on the joints studied. Symptomatic osteoarthritis in the studied joints. Severe joint deformities. Overlap with another collagen. Corticosteroid infiltration in any joint to be studied for less than 6 months. Corticosteroid infiltration into any joint that has not been studied for less than 1 month.

Ultrasonographic evaluation of synovial hypertrophy - semi-quantitative score ranging from 0 to 3 (0 = without synovial thickening; 1 = minimal synovial thickening in the joint recess up to the joint capsule, but without causing it to bulge; 2 = synovial thickening in the entire joint recess causing the joint capsule to bulge, but without extension to the bone diaphysis; 3 = synovial thickening in the joint recess with bulging of the joint capsule and extension to at least one bone diaphysis).

Ultrasonographic evaluation of synovial blood flow assessed by the presence of the power Doppler signal - semi-quantitative score ranging from 0 to 3 (0 = no signal; 1 = minimal PD signal, presence of simple vessels; 2 = moderate PD signal, presence of confluent vessels, however, with a signal less than 50% of the evaluated area; 3 = marked PD signal, presence of a signal greater than 50% of the evaluated area).;Ultrasound evaluation of bone erosion: defined as intra-articular discontinuity of the bone surface that is visible in two perpendicular planes - semi-quantitative score ranging from 0 to 3 (0 = regular bone surface; 1 = bone surface irregularity without formation of defects seen in two planes; 2 = formation of a defect of the bone surface in two planes; 3 = bone defect creating extensive bone destruction).;Visual analog scale for joint pain assessed (0-10 cm). Average pain felt in the last 4 weeks.
