Age
60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals of both sexes, aged over 60, including current and retired employees of the Federal University of Alfenas; and the general public; who have sleep disturbances as indicated by a Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score of =5

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Using other integrative practices to improve sleep quality; having an allergy or intolerance to strong odors;having skin irritation or lesions on the face; having a known history of respiratory disorders, such as asthma

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that sleep quality, as assessed by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, will improve, decreasing by 2 points after one month of aromatherapy use. Data will be collected at the start of use and after 30 days

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome: Possible side effects, such as skin reactions, respiratory problems, and headaches, reported by participants after using aromatherapy are expected to be observed
