This is an experimental, randomized, and controlled study where, after sample selection, volunteers will be randomly allocated into three groups: Combined Training (n=30), Functional Training (n=30),
2nd block – application of resistance training on machines, for the main muscle groups in circuit form

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants must be enrolled in the Mais Viver Extension Project; have hypertension (Stages 1 and 2) and be properly medicated; be between 60 and 80 years old; present a medical certificate; and not have musculoskeletal injuries in the upper and/or lower limbs that would prevent them from performing the exercises

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who do not complete at least 70% of the sessions; do not complete all assessments
