Age
15 Years to 25 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: volunteers with chronic myofascial low back pain; age between 15 e 25 years; male and female

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: obese; pregnant women; wheelchair users; musculoskeletal disorders in the lower limbs; pelvic girdle and spine, such as fractures; trauma; surgery; scoliosis and kyphoscoliosis; congenital deformities in the lower limbs and spine; neurological diseases; individuals with cognitive deficits and performing physiotherapy treatment.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The squat position decreases chronic low back pain in adolescents and young adults. Data collected at the beginning of the intervention and 15 days after;After the intervention, 74.1% of the volunteers reported the disappearance of low back pain.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The intervention will promote an improvement in the mobility of the lower limbs, after 15 days the intervention.; The intervention improved the mobility of the lower limbs by an average reduction of around 9.67 mm.; The intervention will promote the relaxation of the lumbar paravertebral musculature, after 15 days the intervention.;After the intervention there was a decrease in the activation of the right side lumbar paravertebral muscles of 1.05 and the left side of 1.88.;The intervention improve postural alignment, after 15 days the intervention.;There was no significant improvement in postural alignment after intervention.
