Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: amateur runners of both sexes; aged between eighteen and fortyfive years; who have been training for running for at least six months; and who engage in at least one hundred and fifty minutes of physical activity per week
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: individuals diagnosed with any chronic disease or condition such as hypertension; type one or type two diabetes mellitus; as well as those using dietary supplements or medications

| It is expected that supplementation with Peruvian maca will lead to improvements in running performance and anthropometric markers. Specifically, improvements are anticipated in cardiorespiratory fitness, assessed through maximal oxygen consumption (VO2max), as well as in test time and distance traveled during the running test. | — |
