Eligibility

Age
4 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children of both sexes; between 4 and 12 years old at the time of the study; diagnosis within the autism spectrum disorder, verbal and non-verbal, which meet the diagnostic criteria established by the American Psychiatric Association

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Autistic children with other associated syndromes, such as Down syndrome, Rett syndrome, Tuberous sclerosis; Autistic children with hearing and visual impairments; Autistic children with associated intellectual disabilities.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The primary outcome will be the average number of consultations performed to complete all steps of clinical examination and dental prophylaxis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess behavior during care using the Frankl et al. ;Assess the average service time (minutes) in each consultation and the failure.
