Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with alcohol use risk and harmful use; both genders; AUDIT-C Score of 03 or greater; ability to respond to a telephone interview were invited

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals assessed as having any condition that prevents them from understanding the questions were excluded

Expected outcome 1: A reduction of 2-points in the Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test - Concise (AUDIT-C) in those individuals who received the brief FAES model intervention (Feedback, Counseling, Empathy, and Self-Efficacy) was expected during post-test assessments. Differences were assessed using a linear mixed-effects model for repeated measures.;Outcome found 1: The intervention group’s Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test-Concise score decreased by 2.21 points, and the control group’s decreased by 3.80 points from T0 to T1. No significant time-group interaction was found (P=0.968), indicating similar changes in alcohol use between groups (IG T1-T0: -2.21±0.88; CG T1-T0: -3.80±0.77). (P 0.410)
