Interventions

It is an observational study, cross to be held with 66 surfers in the Coast of Paraná to be evaluated only once for data collection and subsequent statistical analysis, through: 1) semi-structured que
2) morbidity survey referred to gather data on sports injuries
3) validated questionnaire to assess the intensity of physical activity - IPAQ short version
4) Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire to assess the presence of musculoskeletal symptoms
5) validated questionnaire to assess the disability that generates low back pain in individuals - QUEBEC
6) Goniometry lumbar spine to assess the range of motion active
7) Test for evaluating Shober lumbar flexibility and 8) as the thoracic and lumbar angle through flexicurve validated protocol.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteer; surfers for at least 6 months in the coast of Paraná; both genders; aged between 18 and 42 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with sequelae of peripheral neurologic and vascular diseases; volunteers with a history of surgery for less than one year, disc herniation and / or fractures in the spine.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find moderate statistical correlation (greater than 0.30) suggesting that the biggest surf practice time increases the lumbar angle measured by flexicurve and the presence of low back pain identified by the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find moderate statistical correlation (greater than 0.30) suggesting that the greater the angle measured by lumbar flexicurve, the greater the lumbar region of motion measured by goniometry, and greater flexibility measured by Schober Test
