Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome: Number of days free from non-full enteral diet (DL-DNP). It is defined as full enteral diet (DP), 150 ml/kg/day. The primary outcome was chosen based on the DL-DNP calculation observed in the last 4 years in the data of the center where the study will be developed. In addition, it includes the incidence of mortality as it is well known that preterm infants <32 weeks have an important mortality rate in the first 15 days postpartum, so when determining DL-DNP in 15 days, we will also be considering mortality, a broad outcome used in the literature.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the occurence of Late sepsis ; To evaluate the occurence of enterocolitis; To evaluate the need for respiratory support (mechanical ventilation); To evaluate the number of days on full enteral diet; To evaluate the days of off parenteral nutrition; To evaluate the II SNAPPE prognostic index score
