Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Children with established deciduous dentition and nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habit
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: dental carie; dental anomalies of number or shape; presence of crossbite; history of oral and facial trauma; history and presence of orthodontic or phonoaudiological treatment; report of parents or caregivers or diagnosis of respiratory and food allergies; presence of a disorder of systemic or local origin that may compromise the masticatory system; use of medications that may interfere with muscular activity, directly or indirectly, such as antihistamines, sedatives, syrups, homeopathy or other drugs depressants of the Central Nervous System; patients who are not collaborating with the data collection.

| Expected outcome 1 The removal of nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habits in 3-year-old children allows the correct occlusal development, ie, no open bite or presence of overjet that is normally present in children with a sucking habit. The determination of this variable will be performed by the analysis of the plaster models.;Expected outcome 2 The removal of nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habits in 3-year-old children allows correct speech development, which will be assessed by the MBGR protocol at the beginning and at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 3 The removal of nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habits in 3-year-old children allows the correct development of mastication, which will be evaluated by the Mastication Observation and Evaluation instrument and also by the AMIOFE protocol - expanded at the beginning and end of the study.;Expected outcome 4 The removal of nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habits in 3-year-old children allows the correct development of swallowing, which will be evaluated by the MBGR protocol at the beginning and at the end of the study.;Expected outcome 5 The removal of nutritive (bottle-feeding) and non-nutritive (pacifier) sucking habits in 3-year-old children allows the correct development of breathing, which will be evaluated by the MBGR protocol at the beginning and at the end of the study. | — |
