Eligibility

Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 24 hours of invasive mechanical ventilation; being over 18 years old; present stable clinical conditions

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pneumothorax, deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary thromboembolism, noradrenaline prescription, oxygenation index less than 150, recent history of deep venous thrombosis without use of anticoagulants, thrombocytopenia, hemodialysis patients, anasarca, prolonged weaning with failure in at least 3 tests spontaneous ventilation

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: Muscle morphology, assessed by ultrasound through analysis of thickness, echo intensity, cross-sectional area, angle and length of the fascicle, up to 24h after admission to the ICU and every 3 days;Expected outcome 2: Muscle strength, assessed by the peak torque evoked up to 24h after admission to the ICU and every 3 days, and the MRC after awakening and every 3 days;Expected outcome 3: Functionality, assessed by the Barthel index on the day of discharge from the ICU and in the ward, and IMS - ICU mobility scale every 3 days in the ICU

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: Time of mechanical ventilation, the duration of the use of invasive mechanical ventilation will be recorded using a form
