Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals aged between 18 and 80 years presenting with severe periimplantitis characterized by bone loss greater than 50% and clinical signs of inflammation in titanium or titanium-alloy implants requiring explantation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Acute infection associated with adjacent teeth; any technical complication that prevents implant removal using a reverse torque device; active infectious diseases of any kind; pregnant women; history of radiotherapy in the head and neck region; history of chemotherapy; surgical or non surgical periimplant therapy within the previous 6 months; use of antibiotics within the previous 6 months; uncontrolled systemic diseases
