Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: To present knee hyperextension, initially assessed subjectively and later confirmed by photogrammetry as described below; and being 18 years of age or older.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Dermatological conditions that contraindicate the use of the myofascial release technique, such as dermatitis due to any cause; deep venous thrombosis and phlebitis; musculoskeletal disorders that generate changes in muscle tone; injury or previous surgery on the knee, ankle or hip.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to verify a reduction of at least 5º in knee hyperextension, measured by biophotogrammetry.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected an improvement of at least 5% in the postural angles of the other body segments, measured by biophotogrammetry.
