Age
60 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly individuals complaining of tinnitus of sensorineural origin; Men and women; Age 60 years or more.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects presenting active cardiovascular disease;Cardiac pacemaker; Metallic prostheses or implants; Complaint of origin buzz for auditory; Working in a noisy environment or have a history of noise-induced hearing loss; Submit THI Questionnaire total score in less than thirty-six (36); Submit scores on the visual analog scale (VAS) less than five (5).

MeasureTime frame
Reduction of Interleukin 6 levels observed in the automated enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and improved levels of Vitamin D verified by amplification of the gene polymorphism of the VDR (vitamin D receptor) by polymerase chain reaction

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in quality of life measured by Questionnaire Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI). Improvement in tinnitus intensity, measured by the Visual Analog Scale instrument (EVA).
