Control group: 17 primary teeth with deep caries and pulp involvement will be treated using the pulpotomy technique and the Mineral Trioxide Aggregate will be used as medicament for the pulp / capping

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The criteria of inclusion of the sample will include children between 5 and 9 years of age (Marques et al., 2014; Fernandes et al., 2015, Lourenço Neto et al., 2015, Lourenço Neto et al., 2016; Yildirin et al. , 2016; Juneja, Kulkarni 2017) of both genders, which are cooperative, present at least one deciduous molar with a lesion of deep caries that reaches the pulp, absence of fistula or abscess, absence of furcation and periapical injury, vital pulp with no history of pain, radiographic absence of internal and external resorption of the root, presence of at least two thirds of the radicular length proven in the radiograph and tooth with restorative possibility. The final selection for inclusion in the study will be performed at the clinical stage, where it will be verified whether hemostasis will be adequately achieved within 5 minutes after amputation of the coronal pulp (Marques et al., 2014; Fernandes et al., 2015; Lourenço Neto et al. (2006).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria will be presence of systemic pathologies, history of allergic reaction to the latex of absolute isolation or local anesthetic.
