| In the Effort Perception Scale, the results obtained were the same in the three collection periods (baseline, extension and restriction), the athlete chose the highest score (10). Already in the Scale of applied one day after the test, the athlete chose a higher score in the period of sleep extension (19). In the basal and restriction periods the athlete chose 18.;Considering only the behavior of this athlete, the study had as a limitation, in the period of sleep extension, problems at night in the accommodation of the competition. The calendar of competitions and consequently the period in the lodging, are possible limitations for our data collection.;In the performance evaluation, the Athlete "1", obtained the best time in the 100 meters swimming crawl, in the period of restriction of sleep (1'50 "13). However, the temperature of the water influence on the performance of the swimmer, and in the week of extension of sleep to water was above the usual temperature (between 28.9 ° C and 29.8 ° C). With regard to frequency the lowest frequency was in the standard sleep period, extension and restriction of sleep, the difference was by an arm stroke.;With regard to daytime sleepiness, the athlete "1" presented a high score in all collection periods (pattern, extension and restriction), indicating daytime drowsiness significant. The highest score was obtained during the period of sleep extension (16), resulting in in score associated with pathological somnolence.;The results of the Mini Sleep Questionnaire showed that in the three collection (standard, extension and restriction), Athlete "1" had a very disturbed sleep, supporting the results described in the analysis of the data of the actigrapher and the questionnaire of Pittsburgh.
