Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Nursing and cleaning professionals actively and directly involved in the cleaning and disinfection process at the medical clinic unit during the study period; professionals of both genders; professionals aged 18 years or older; professionals working on a 12 by 36-hour shift schedule (twelve hours of work followed by thirty-six hours of rest), covering both even and odd shifts

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Professionals who are not directly responsible for the cleaning and disinfection process due to being in managerial or administrative roles; interns and students from technical or undergraduate courses

Compare the performance of realistic simulation and interactive lecture teaching strategies in the compliance process of surface cleaning and protection through comparative analysis of pre- and post-intervention adherence rates, expecting to find a significant increase in the selected technical compliance using the Wilcoxon statistical analysis method, where a p-value less than 0.05 will be presented

To verify the effectiveness of surface cleaning and disinfection performed by the groups using visual inspection methods, fluorescent markers, and microbial load, expecting to find a reduction in microbial load and greater removal of markers, verified by the Colony Forming Unit (CFU) count and percentage of clean surfaces;To evaluate the knowledge of nursing and hygiene professionals regarding cleaning and disinfection practices using a structured questionnaire applied before and after educational interventions, expecting to find an improvement in average scores verified by the percentage variation in correct answers between the two time points;Describe the levels of motivation, satisfaction, performance, and commitment of workers using specific rating scales applied during the intervention phase, aiming to identify the engagement profile of professionals as verified by the average scores obtained in each evaluated domain
