Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Effective municipal elementary school teachers, working in classrooms, directly with the students; General health condition; Sedentarysm for at least eight weeks.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Teachers retired; Current pathology or early that prevented evaluations and/or exercises; Participated in other programs that included physical exercises and evaluations that were incomplete data.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
No increase in of quadriceps and hamstrings peak torque and rate of force development after 7 weeks of training, assessed by load cell; No musculoskeletal symptoms decrease after 7 weeks of training, using the Nordic Questionnaire.;Increase in at least 5% of quadriceps and hamstrings peak of torque and rate of force development after 7 weeks of training, assessed by load cell; Musculoskeletal symptoms decrease in 5% after 7 weeks of training, using the Nordic Questionnaire.

Increase in at least 10% of quadriceps and hamstrings muscle strength after 7 weeks of training, assessed by 10 maximal repetitions (10RM). ;Increase in 67% of quadriceps and 53% of hamstrings muscle strength after 7 weeks of training, assessed by the 10 maximum repetition test (10RM).
