Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults aged 18 years or older; both sexes; signed informed consent form; diagnosis of an oncohematological disease; undergoing their first hematopoietic stem cell transplantation; thrombocytopenia with a platelet count less than or equal to 50.000/mm³; eligibility for virtual reality use according to the Simulator Sickness Questionnaire with a score less than or equal to 20

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diagnosis of multiple myeloma associated with the risk or presence of pathological fractures; contraindication to virtual reality use according to the Simulator Sickness Questionnaire with a score greater than 20; hemodynamic instability; respiratory instability; transfer to the intensive care unit during the data collection period; transfer to the emergency department during the data collection period

MeasureTime frame
The use of virtual reality as a physiotherapeutic intervention in oncohematological patients with thrombocytopenia after HSCT is expected to improve functional performance, even under clinically vulnerable conditions. Functional performance will be assessed through motor performance during virtual reality sessions, considering game-related indicators such as the number of balls hit in each session and progression throughout the interventions.

The intervention is expected to contribute to the reduction of symptoms such as fatigue, anxiety, and depression, assessed respectively by the Fatigue Assessment Scale (FAS) and the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS).;It is expected to demonstrate the feasibility and safety of the intervention in the hospital setting through the monitoring of vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, and peripheral oxygen saturation), subjective perception of exertion assessed using the Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion Scale, the occurrence of adverse events, tolerability of virtual reality use, and adherence to physiotherapy sessions, even among patients with a platelet count of less than or equal to 50,000/mm³.
