Age
55 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both genders; medical diagnosis of type 2 Diabetes (minimum 5 years); age 55-75 years; not participating in regular physical exercise programs; not being a smoker; absence of complications caused by the disease such as retinopathy, coronary artery disease, autonomic neuropathy or uncontrolled systemic arterial hypertension; (viii) obtaining a score > 19 and < 27 on the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Failure to participate in one of the assessment procedures; any orthopedic injury or other condition that makes it impossible to carry out the exercise sessions proposed in the study.

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on inhibitory control, an executive function assessed using the Stroop Color test, considering the time used to perform the incongruent test.;To evaluate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on working memory and executive function, assessed using the Digit Span test, considering the highest number of correct answers and the longest sequence achieved.;To evaluate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on cerebral oxygenation, at rest and during executive function tests, using near-infrared spectroscopy equipment, measuring the concentrations of oxygen-bound hemoglobin, reduced hemoglobin, and total hemoglobin. From these values, the oxygen concentration will be calculated.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on glycemic control, assessed using a continuous glucose monitoring sensor, over 2 weeks, before and after the intervention. Raw values ??and the daily average of blood glucose (mg/dL) will be considered.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on plasma concentrations of Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), assessed using the ELISA method, before and after the intervention, from blood samples collected by a qualified professional.

To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on plasma concentrations of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines, assessed using the ELISA method, before and after the intervention, from blood samples collected by a qualified professional.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on plasma concentrations of melatonin and cortisol, assessed using the ELISA method, before and after the intervention, from blood samples collected by a qualified professional.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on anthropometric parameters (weight, height, body circumferences and skinfolds) assessed using a digital scale, stadiometer, measuring tape and skinfold caliper.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on aerobic performance, assessed using the 6-Minute Walk Test, considering parameters such as average speed and total distance covered.;To investigate the impact of the time of day on the effect of combined physical training on muscle strength performance, assessed using the Sit-to-Stand Test (lower limbs) and handgrip strength test (upper limbs), considering the parameters maximum number of repetitions in 30 seconds and greatest strength achieved in three attempts, respectively.
