Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: As inclusion criteria for both control and exercise groups, subjects should present Parkinson Disease diagnosed by a neurologist (rule out parkinsonisms with other causes). In addition, they must be able to participate in the proposed physical activity program and sign the consent form. The participants need to be between 50 and 80 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: As exclusion criteria for both CONTROL AND EXERCISE groups, the individual should present characteristics of cognitive deficits verified through the application of the MoCa Questionnaire. Specifically for the EXERCISE group, as exclusion criteria, aspects such as the inability to participate in aquatic physiotherapy will be adopted, besides the individual presenting other diagnosed neurological and orthopedic pathologies that preclude their participation in the program.

MeasureTime frame
Aquatic physiotherapy is expected to improve by at least 10% in neuroprotective markers by the increase of the BDNF marker. ;Aquatic physical therapy improved by at least 10% the values observed in cognitive tests by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment. ;It was founded that the ndividuals with Parkinson's disease have higher levels of inflammatory markers: IL-1 and MCP-1.;It is founded that the aquatic physiotherapy reduced plasma IL-1ra levels in Parkinson's patients;At least 20% improvement in oxidative stress parameters is expected.

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the activity of the antioxidant enzymes increase by at least 20% after the practice of aquatic physiotherapy in patients with Parkinson's disease.;It was founded that the BDNF values increased at least 10%.
