Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 30 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers; Aged between 18 and 30 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Present neuromuscular injuries involving the knee extensor muscles; Present thermal sensitivity disorders; Have performed exercises with load on the lower limbs in the last 72 hours; Have ingested caffeine and energy drinks 24 hours before the assessments.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The study was designed to detect a difference in muscle tissue stiffness after interventions through elastography examination with the Young's Modulus (E) parameter.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The study analyzed the relationship between the thickness of subcutaneous fat and its impact on muscle stiffness after the application of heat and cold. This will be carried out through a correlation test using the measurements found with the adipometer and the elastography exam.;The study seeks to analyze the relationship between skin elasticity and moisture and the effects of thermal agents. This will be done through the values obtained with the ElastiMeter and MoistureMeter-D equipment, correlating with the indices evaluated by elastography.;The study aims to analyze the relationship between skin temperature and muscle stiffness. This will be done through data obtained through infrared thermography and elastography examination.
