Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age between 40 and 60 years, both genders, with nutritional diagnosis of obesity according to the World Health Organization classification (2000) and with diagnosis of insulin resistance according to the HOMA-IR index.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Inflammatory diseases in the gastrointestinal tract, use of supplements or antibiotics and inability to respond to research questionnaires or to perform nutritional status assessments.
