Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Main outcome:Decrease the size of the ulcer area after 3 months of physiotherapeutic intervention, verified by perimetry, measuring the largest extension and the largest length of ulceration, and then multiplying the distance by the length to an area in centimeters, from a variation of , at least 10% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements;Increased popliteal vein blood flow after 3 months of physiotherapeutic intervention, verified by ultrasonography, from a variation of at least 20% in pre and post-intervention measurements;Improvement in quality of life after 3 months of physiotherapeutic intervention, verified using the adapted Aberdeen Varicose Veins questionnaire and Nottingham Health Profile adapted from a variation of at least 10 points in the pre- and post-intervention measurements

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Increase in cutaneous temperature of the lower limb affected with venous ulcer, after 3 months of physiotherapeutic intervention, verified by means of a thermal camera, from a variation of at least 10% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements;Increase in sural triceps strength after 3 months of physiotherapeutic intervention, verified by manual dynamometer, based on a variation of at least 20% in pre and post-intervention measurements
