Dental Implants, Single-Tooth

Interventions

Twenty partial edentulous maxillary patients will be selected, who will receive two types of implants: Control group: Cylindrical implant in the middle and coronal portion and tapered in the apical po
Test group: Cylindrical implant in the coronal and tapered portion in the apical and middle portion with perforating and condensing threads with modified morse cone platform.

Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 60 years; Necessity for bilateral unit rehabilitation with osseointegrated implants; Sufficient bone availability to install conventional sized implant; Good systemic health.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Smokers and ex-smokers; Diabetics; Patients who are chronic users of medications (eg. Bisphosphonates, immunosuppressants, anti-inflammatories) or pathologies that alter bone metabolism (eg. Osteoporosis; diabetes); Patients who chronically use anti-inflammatories and antibiotics; Patients with bruxism; Alcoholics ; Chemical dependents; Pregnant or women wishing to become pregnant in the next year; History of radiotherapy treatment in the head and neck region.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of the primary stability of implants to be assessed by analysis of resonance frequency and insertion torque. We will evaluate if different implants macrostructures will be different in the primary stability in 10-points, which is a clinical relevant difference

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluation of marginal bone level by radiographic analysis and evaluation of periimplant parameters by clinical analysis in order to observe if the different implants connection will stabilize the bone level around the implants.
