Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Sedentary men; between 35 and 60 years; diagnosed with Metabolic Syndrome

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: use of drugs or medications, except those used to control the risk factors of Metabolic Syndrome; presenting amenorrhea; inflammation and or infection; episode of muscle tendon or osteo articular injury in the upper, lower limbs and or spine in the last three months; respiratory diseases; neurological disorders and cardiovascular disease at high risk

MeasureTime frame
Increased Isokinetic muscle strength measured in Newtons/meters after 16 weeks of training assessed through the isokinetic dynamometer and verified by the means difference of pre and post intervention in the statistical analysis;Improved physical fitness after 16 weeks of training assessed by the functional tests of American Alliance for Health Physical Education, Recreation and Dance AAHPERD. measured by the final score of the motor tests and verified by the increase in the score according to the classification by age
