500 children will be followed for a period of two years with clinical and blood collection (3 in the first year and two in the second), and will be active and passive surveillance for feverish illness

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: pregnant women in the third trimester of pregnancy living in Manguinhos

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: high-risk pregnancy possibility of changing address

Incidence of dengue virus infection in children by the number of positive cases confirmed by laboratory examination.

MeasureTime frame
number of seroconversion (possible point to detect the antibody in the blood)using paired serum samples from the acute phase and convalescence phase by laboratory tests
