Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Expected outcome: Number of patients reporting spontaneous pain after the restorative procedure through self-report. This number will be transformed into a percentage of patients with pain and will be termed an absolute risk of dental sensitivity.;The intensity of dental sensitivity will be assessed using the 5-point numerical scale (NRS 0-4) and the VAS analogue visual scale (0-10) and will be presented as mean and standard deviation for 7 days after the restorative treatment. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Expected outcome 2: the patient will return 7, and 6 and 12 months after the restoration to evaluate the sensitivity caused by the application of air, vertical percussion, cold and heat stimulation, in a yes and no evaluation.;Expected outcome 3: the patient will return 7, 6 and 12 months after completion of the restoration to evaluate the criteria USPHS modified marginal discolouration, marginal adaptation, retention and recurrence of caries will also be evaluated on a scale of 1 to 5. | — |
