Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both sexes; over 18 years of age; in need of endodontic treatment in first and second permanent upper molars will be included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients under 18 years of age; with cognitive difficulties, unable to consent to treatment will be excluded; upper molars that require endodontic retreatment; teeth where the second MesioBuccal root canal is not found; access through prosthetic crowns; cases with incomplete rhizogenesis; patients who do not agree to participate in the study

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the ability to prepare the second mesiobuccal root canal in maxillary molars of 2 types of instruments (rotary and reciprocating) up to working length through the percentage of instrumented second mesiobuccal root canals. We will observe and compare the percentage of fully prepared root canals in the different groups.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To assess the safety of using two types of instruments (rotary and reciprocating) through the rate of instrument fractures during treatment. The number of fractures in the groups will be compared to see if one of the groups is considered safer.
