Age
60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers of both genders, aged 60 or over, ability to stand and walk independently

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers who have any type of amputation, no independent gait, body mass index (BMI) below 18.5 kg / m2; have been engaging in physical activity in the past 6 months uninterrupted; hypertensive or with blood pressure values greater than 180mmHg systolic and diastolic blood pressure 90 mmHg

It is expected that after 8 weeks of resistance training, the elderly of the strength group (GF) present an increase in muscle strength and balance. The force will be evaluated in the isokinetic dynamometer Biodex and grip strength with Jamar dynamometer, the balance will be evaluated in the Neurocon Smart Equitest using the test sensory organization and motor control test;It is expected that after 8 weeks of resistance training, the elderly in the strength group (GF) show an improvement in the speed of travel, a mass gain muscular and a reduction of. adipose tissue. The speed of the gait will be evaluated by gait speed test 6 meters, the increase of muscle mass and reduction of adipose tissue will be done through adiptometry with Cescorf's scientific plicometer
