18 Years to 45 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: diagnosis of muscular or mixed temporomandibular disorders; adults between 18 and 45 years old; body mass index from 18.5 to 29 points.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: diagnosis of temporomandibular joint dysfunction; more than three missing teeth or two missing teeth in occlusion pairs; use of muscle relaxants; neurological impairment that prevents comprehension of tasks; has performed; be below the body mass index.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the results of surface electromyography indicate a decrease in maximal voluntary contraction and muscle balance during mastication soon after the interventions, both with manual therapy and with electrostimulation therapy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that patients have gained quality of life by reducing their pain on a daily basis.
