Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals with severe chronic periodontitis (localized or generalized, older than 18 years, presence of two sites in distinct sextants with depth at 5 to 9 mm probing and bleeding at probing.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant or breastfeeding patients; smoking; diabetics; allergic to phthalocyanine and methylene blue; undergoing periodontal treatment and / or antibiotics in the last 3 months; with systemic conditions that alter the periodontal tissue; dental elements with acute periodontal conditions (periodontal abscesses and gingivitis and / or necrotizing ulcerative periodontitis); with degree III mobility; with indicated extraction; anterior teeth and premolars with presence of endodontic lesion; cavities; extensive restorations; prosthesis or any occlusal dysfunction

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The first table will contain the first expected outcome. This will be identified as "Expected outcome 1". The photosensitizer Chloro-aluminum Phthalocyanine can obtain more significant results in comparison to the Methylene Blue, when associated to the Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy, in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices of patients with chronic periodontitis.;The second table will contain the second expected outcome. This will be identified as "Expected outcome 2". The photosensitizer Chloro-aluminum Phthalocyanine may not obtain more significant results in comparison to the Methylene Blue, when associated to the Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy, in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices of patients with chronic periodontitis.

The Methylene Blue photosensitizer can obtain more significant results in comparison to Chloro-aluminum phthalocyanine, when associated to Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy, in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices of patients with chronic periodontitis.;The second table will contain the second expected outcome. This will be identified as "Expected outcome 2". The Methylene Blue photosensitizer may not obtain more significant results in comparison to the Chloral-aluminum Phthalocyanine, when associated with the Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy, in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices of patients with chronic periodontitis.;The third table will include the second expected outcome. This will be identified as "Expected outcome 3". Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy associated with photosensitizers Chloro-Aluminum Phthalocyanine or Methylene Blue can obtain more significant results than the Scaling and corono-radicular straightening in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices.;The fourth table will show the second expected outcome. This will be identified as "Expected outcome 4". Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy associated with photosensitizers Chloro-Aluminum Phthalocyanine or Methylene Blue may not obtain more significant results than the Scaling and corono-radicular straightening in the oral, salivary and microbiological indices.
