Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Schoolchildren from the selected schools aged 08-12 years diagnosed with overweight and / or obesity

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Schoolchildren with physical or intellectual disabilities. Importantly, if there are students with these characteristics, but who are authorized by their parents / guardians and wish to participate in the study, they will participate in all phases of the study (pre, post and intervention measures), and only their information is excluded. of the analyzes.

It is expected to find a 10% reduction in the mean values of body mass index, measured from height (m) and body mass (kg) values, one week before and after the intervention.;It is expected to find a 5% reduction in the mean values of waist circumference values, measured at the smallest trunk circunference, one week before and after the intervention.;It is expected to find a 5% reduction in the mean values of the sum of the skinfolds of the triceps and subscapular regions measured one week before and after the intervention.;It is expected to find a 10 minutes increase in the mean of daily time of moderate to vigorous intensite of physical activity, measured by accelerometers used at waist position for at least three days and eight hours each day, one week before and after the intervention.

It is expected to find 5% to 10% reductions in the mean of cardiometabolic indicator values (total cholesterol measured with portable monitor; glucose measured by portable monitor, and the blood pressure measured by an automatic portable monitor) measured one week before and after the intervention.;It is expected to find increases of 10% to 20% in the mean values of physical fitness indicators (general resistance measured by run/walk test for six minutes; handgrip strength measured by dynamometry; abdominal strength measured by abdominal test in one minute; and, flexibility measured by the modified sit and reach test) measured one week before and after the intervention.
