Age
6 Years to 8 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with spastic diparesis type of Cerebral Palsy;classified as level II and III on GMFCS; with age between 6 years and 8 years and 11 months will be included.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: It will be excluded children that does not cooperate; unable to understand the proposed activities;submitted to orthopedic surgeries at less than 12 months; and peripheral blocks for less than 6 months.

After comparing balance and trunk protocols, which one has a positive impact on the gait of children with Cerebral Palsy classified as level II and III on Gross Motor Function Classification System seen through the Trunk Conrol Measurement Scale,Timed Up and Go, Dynamic Gait Index, 6-minute Walk Test, and average walking speed. To compare the non-parametric and quantitative variables pre and post intervention of the intra-group analysis, the Wilcoxon test will be used. Intergroup comparisons will be performed by non-parametric and non-paired Mann-Whitney analysis. The Spearman correlation will be used to observe the degree of association between two variables. For analysis of the tests will be considered a confidence interval (CI) of 95%, the significance level of P less than 0.05 and the data presented on average, standard deviation and median. The software will be used: SPSS V17, Minitab 16 and Excel Office 2010.

After comparing the balance and trunk protocols, which one has a positive influence in relation to decrease in falls and energy expenditure, consequently, its influence on the quality of life of children with Cerebral Palsy, classified as level II and III on Gross Motor Function Classification System.
