Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Undergraduate dental students regularly enrolled in the Stomatology course at the School of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo; voluntarily agree to participate in the study; provide written informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students who have previously received training using three-dimensional models related to the content addressed in the study; students who are not regularly enrolled in the Stomatology course; students who do not provide written informed consent

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Immediate academic performance of students receiving instruction with three-dimensional printed models compared with students receiving conventional teaching, assessed through scores obtained on a multiple-choice examination and a practical assessment administered immediately after the educational intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Knowledge retention of students, assessed through scores obtained on a multiple-choice examination and a practical assessment administered three months after the educational intervention; student satisfaction with the teaching methodology, assessed through a satisfaction questionnaire administered immediately after the intervention; perception of usefulness, clarity, confidence, and applicability of the methodology, assessed through a Likert scale administered immediately after the intervention and again after three months of follow-up; association between academic performance and student satisfaction, assessed through correlation between scores obtained on the evaluation instruments; feasibility and applicability of low-cost three-dimensional printing as an educational resource, assessed through analysis of participant satisfaction and perception questionnaires
