Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both genres; aged between 18 and 80 years; in use of an endotracheal tube or tracheostomy; receiving ventilatory support; sedated; hemodynamically stable; no active participation in the fan; having diagnosed the presence of lung infection

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of pulmonary disease; hemodynamic instability; abnormalities of the chest or abdominal wall; obesity; severe scoliosis; pregnancy; cardiac pacemaker; pneumothorax; flail ches;, presence of vascular fragility; acute respiratory distress syndrome; thrombocytopenia

MeasureTime frame
Most secretion removed and consequent improvement in lung mechanics and gas exchange in the group submitted to maneuver chest compression measured by the weight of secretion, blood gases and lung mechanics measured before and after the maneuvers of chest compression
