In the intervention consultation (photobiomodulation) 38 participants will receive 1 photobiomodulation session (PBMT) using a pre-defined protocol after the orthodontic maintenance procedure. Duo MMO

Eligibility

Age
12 Years to 50 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Young and adult patients, between 12 and 50 years old; of both sexes; undergoing orthodontic treatment in the alignment and leveling phase; that present absence of systemic, periodontal or periapical diseases; have good hygiene; not having had previous orthodontic treatment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Intake of analgesics and anti-inflammatories, anticonvulsants, steroids, bisphosphonates during the study; chronic pain; facial neuralgia; psychological disorders; endodontic treatment; gum inflammation; any local or systemic condition that may affect pain perception; pregnancy or breastfeeding; dental or periodontal problems; patients who do not fill out the visual analogue scale correctly or fill it out after the pre-determined time
