This is a prospective pilot study, in which early intervention will be compared with home programs with children with Down Syndrome from 0 to three years old. 30 child/family will be recruited to this

Age
No minimum to 3 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children with Down Syndrome. Children util 3 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with associated comorbidities as cerebral palsy.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to demonstrate early intervention associated with individualized home programs based on Family-Centered Practice, promotes improvement in neuropsychomotor development and in the occupational performance of young children with Down Syndrome.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
This study will add new information to the scarce literature on disciplines of occupational therapy in Down syndrome, being able to expand the technical-scientific knowledge and fill some existing gaps in the literature.;There may be potential gains for the overall development of the child.;The proposed intervention includes the family in the process, and can generate a sense of empowerment and acceptance in parents and caregivers.
