The 30 individuals will be randomized into
Control Group Placebo (15 individuals) - individuals in this group should perform resistance training with elastic bands once a week with low intensity. Physical Training Group (15 individuals) - ind
Total duration - 8 to 10 weeks

Age
45 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Ischemic Stroke after 6 months; sufficient functional capacity to perform daily activities according to the Barthel Scale; age group between 45 and 85 years; both genders; non-smoker; non-alcoholic; sedentary; have not had recent heart surgery; not having pains that make it impossible to do physical activity; have diabetes mellitus and / or controlled hypertension (s); not have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; not have an orthopedic injury that makes it impossible to perform exercises.

Exclusion criteria: Orthopedic problems that make it impossible to perform exercises; diabetes and / or uncontrolled hypertension.

MeasureTime frame
The main outcome of this study is related to the positive effects on muscle strength (sit and lift, manual grip), speed (10-meter walk), and dynamic balance (TIMED UP AND GO) after 8 weeks in the physical training group with size of moderate effect when compared before and after intervention. We also expect the physical training group to have a positive change on SDNN, RMSSD, NN50, PNN50 (time domain), LF and LF / HF and HF (frequency domain) indices determined by autonomic assessment (heart rate variability) after 8 weeks with moderate effect size when compared before and after intervention. We expect to find positive changes in hemodynamic parameters (systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure) after 8 weeks in the physical training group with moderate effect size when compared before and after intervention. In addition, we expect the physical training group to have benefits in inflammatory parameters (measurement of inflammatory cytokines) and metabolic parameters (blood glucose, lipids and oxidative stress) through blood collection after 8 weeks with moderate effect size when compared pre- and post-intervention.
