Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students enrolled in the fourth semester (semiology and semiotics module in nursing); Students in first contact semiology and semiotics in nursing

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Transfer students from other colleges or universities; Students who have already attended the semiology and semiotics module in nursing, as well as for all modules in which this is a prerequisite; Academics with previous training in the nursing technician course or who have experience or prior knowledge about the subject studied for this public; Students transferred from other universities/colleges

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to analyze the effectiveness of a checklist to assess nursing students' knowledge about cardiovascular examination and clinical judgment for nurses, validated by judges. The check list will be associated with the clinical simulation methodology, through the randomized clinical trial method, before and immediately after the cardiovascular semiological assessment applied with the previously mentioned checklist, where we will observe whether the intervention group will obtain greater confidence and knowledge regarding to the control group, in which only the standard and traditional teaching activity will be applied.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to analyze the nursing student's satisfaction with the clinical simulation experience, after the application of a randomized clinical trial, measured through a questionnaire carried out during data collection from the intervention group.
