4 Years to 18 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals with a Myelomeningocele diagnosis; studing in health and education institutions in the region of Oeste Paulista; aged between 4 and 18 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with previously diagnosed metabolic, biochemical, cardiovascular changes; do not understand the proposed activities.

Design outcomes

Expected Outcome 1: Outpatients have better anthropometric profiles than non-outpatients, before and after the intervention, this will be verified by weight and height data, and also by the classification of body mass index by age, according to the Nutritional Surveillance System, in addition to waist circumference, skin folds and body composition.;Expected Outcome 2: Ambulatory individuals have better biochemical profiles than non-ambulatory individuals before and after intervention, which will be verified by total cholesterol and glycemia (capillaries, collected with the 8-hour fasting individual).;Expected Outcome 3: Ambulatory individuals have better metabolic profiles than non-ambulatory individuals, before and after intervention, which will be analyzed from the basal metabolic rate by bioimpedance.;Expected Outcome 4: Ambulatory individuals have a better psychomotor profile than non-ambulatory individuals, before and after intervention, this will be verified by means of instruments that evaluate several areas of motor development.
