Tendon and muscle trauma at shoulder and arm level

Interventions

Participants will receive surgical treatment of their injuries using semitendinosus tendon graft or fascia lata graft for PMM reconstruction. The division of participants into Group I or Group II will

Eligibility

Age
20 Years to 40 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with chronic total rupture, with more than 3 weeks of injury; lesions visualized by magnetic resonance and without retraction greater than the nipple line in the axial plane on T2; lesions occurred during weight training or CrossFit; patients average aged between 20 and 40 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not return for follow-up; not undergo the proposed exams or evaluations; patients who end up being disconnected from the study

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate functional, radiological and aesthetic results of the treatment of chronic pectoralis mayor muscle injuries with fascia lata graft versus hamstring tendons, in order to define the possible superiority of one technique over another

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Assess factors related to negative outcomes, esthetics, and morbidity associated with each of the two surgical techniques.
