Eligibility

Age
40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 40 to 70 years; both sexes; without associated comorbidities; candidates for dental implant surgery; requiring total reconstruction of the upper alveolar ridge; requiring the placement of 1 to 2 implants in the posterior region of the mandible with bone grafting in the maxilla

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant and breastfeeding patients without complete postoperative follow-up; with a history of neoplastic diseases treated with radiotherapy or chemotherapy; active smokers, or those allergic to the biomaterials used in the research

Expected outcome: To evaluate the different biochemical compositions of PO2 concentration; TCO2, SatO2, ionized calcium, pH, and lactate and magnesium in peripheral blood, mandibular medullary blood, and iliac medullary blood.;Outcome found: the anatomical origin of the blood sample significantly influences gasometric parameters such as pH, PCO2, PO2, HCO3? and oxygen saturation (SatO2), which showed statistically relevant variations between peripheral blood, mandibular medullary blood and iliac medullary blood.
