Interventions

Baropodometry: it is used not as a form of intervention but as a way of assessing the postural balance of the elderly. The assessment of the balance will be performed using the baropodômetro T-Plate (
First appears the platform for the elderly, so that he can feel and touch the same, besides knowing where the platform is located, then it will be explained as will be performed each procedure and mea
Each elder will perform four collections: Bipodal position of open and closed eyes and in positions of Unipodal evaluation, with the support of the dominant foot (UD) and with the support of the non-d
will be instructed to stay with the static posture and quiet, the head directed to the front and the arms along the body and asking that the elderly imagine a fixed point in front of her
The collection will be 30 seconds registering the oscillations anteroposterior and lateral-lateral, with only 30 seconds of training
In the evaluation at bipodal position after the placement of the elderly, the appraiser will only adjust his feet so that they are in a position standardized with feet half above and half below the ho

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Checking the postural balance comparing the elderly active and inactive by Baropodometry technique, on bipodal positions of eyes open, closed, and with the support of foot unipodal dominant and non-dominant foot support to assess which group presents less displacement, it is expected that the elderly active

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
With the variables that the evaluation instrument, the baropodômetro, allows us to obtain, you can also determine the patterns of body discharge of elderly people as well as analyze and describe the strategies for the recovery of the control of postural balance in the elderly
