Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Target sample size is 168 people with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus; diagnosed for at least five years; registered in the Health Information System for Primary Care (SIAB); with a minimum age of eighteen years and maximum age not stipulated and of both genders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Persons with T2DM who present active ulcers or lower limb amputations; deficits in cognitive ability, identified by the Mental State Mini-Exam (MMSE), and those who do not want or can not participate in the intervention.

MeasureTime frame
The risk of impaired skin integrity of the feet of persons with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, assessed using the Foot Care Application, is expected to be reduced from the criteria for evaluating the feet of the person with DM recommended by the (0) to three (3), whose zero value (0) corresponds to the low risk, one (1) moderate risk, two (2) high and three (3) very high risk.

MeasureTime frame
There is expected to be improvement in intention to care for the feet, assessed through the Planned Behavior Questionnaire - Foot Care (Planned Behavior Questionnaire-Foot Care Questionnaire), which scores from 5 to 25 points.
