Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Evaluate the outcomes of falls in general and injurious falls, verified through comparison between the groups (control and intervention) by calculating the incidence of both. The calculation will be performed based on the total number of overall falls and injurious falls in the control and intervention groups, divided by the number of patient-days, multiplied by 1,000. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Measure the effectiveness of call bell activation using data obtained from the call bell monitoring system per bed (activation volume and staff response time). A comparison between the control and intervention groups will be conducted.;Evaluate the number of required nursing interventions based on data collected from telephone-based interventions conducted in the intervention group through virtual hourly rounding.;Measure patient satisfaction based on responses to the institutional satisfaction survey at the end of participation in both groups. This will be assessed using the NPS (Net Promoter Score) questionnaire and a version based on items proposed in HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems), considering those related to the nursing staff. | — |
