Eligibility

Age
7 Years to 14 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 7 and 14 years old; Be duly enrolled in the aerial silks and/or artistic gymnastics classes linked to Dance program, circus activities and gymnastics; Have a minimum attendance of 90% in their respective classes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who present with any musculoskeletal injury during the evaluation period, who have any medical contraindication, or who have not completed all stages of the evaluation will be excluded.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Primary outcome- Expected outcome 1 It is expected to observe high levels of acceptance safety and satisfaction among participants at the end of the twenty four sessions of the aerial silk intervention measured through structured questionnaires applied in the post intervention period as well as to identify predominantly positive perceptions related to experience safety and perceived benefits through qualitative analysis of a focus group conducted at the end of the program indicating feasibility of implementing the intervention

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcome 1- It is expected to find improvement in flexibility and movement function after the period of twenty four intervention sessions compared with baseline values assessed through the Functional Movement Screen and the Y Balance Test for upper and lower limbs applied before the first session and after the twenty fourth session;Secondary outcome 2- It is expected to find an increase in upper limb muscular strength and endurance as well as handgrip strength after the period of twenty four intervention sessions compared with baseline values assessed through the Kimono Grip Strength Test and handgrip dynamometry applied before the first session and after the twenty fourth session;Secondary outcome 3- It is expected to find an increase in core muscular endurance after the period of twenty four intervention sessions compared with baseline values assessed through the isometric plank test applied before the first session and after the twenty fourth session;Secondary outcome 4- It is expected to find an increase in lower limb muscular power after the period of twenty four intervention sessions compared with baseline values assessed through the Squat Jump and Countermovement Jump tests applied before the first session and after the twenty fourth session
