Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals in pre operative of elective cardiac surgery of myocardial revascularization and / or valve surgery; with age equal to or greater than 18 years; of both sexes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Those with difficulty understanding the procedures performed in the research; that present motor impairment that makes it impossible to perform gait without assistance.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: increase of at least 1100 steps in the number of steps in the group that used the walking diary when compared to the group that did not use it.;Outcome found 1: there was no increase in the number of steps in the group that used the walking diary when compared to the group that did not use it.

Secondary

Expected outcome 2: fewer steps in individuals with a higher level of cardiac anxiety.;Outcome found 2: maintenance of the number of steps regardless of the level of cardiac anxiety.
