Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The target population will consist of robust elderly; of both genders; over 60 years old; independent, with or without chronic diseases; as long as these are under control.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: subjects who do not attend for more than two sessions evaluations and the biofeedback program; as well as those who develop disease that compromises swallowing, such as: disorder of the cervical osteomyelitis system; Brain vascular accidents; Neurodegenerative diseases; Systemic arterial hypertension and diabetes.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Decreased oral transit time, increased laryngeal force and elevation, increased electromyographic potentials and cross-sectional area of the pharynx, verified by means of the electromyographic and pharyngometric examination from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre and post intervention
